Who We Are

The Clean Plate Club is a family owned and operated restaurant company serving the greater Chicago area. Our mission is simple: to prepare high quality food that is fairly priced in a comfortable and creative environment. We currently have three restaurants (Davis Street Fishmarket, Merle's #1 Barbecue, and Pete Miller's Seafood & Prime Steak) in downtown Evanston and a second Pete Miller's in Wheeling, Illinois. Each restaurant was built from a geniune love and enthusiasm for the experience it provides.

Our company started in 1985 with The Davis Street Fishmarket at 501 Davis Street, Merle's Barbecue in 1992, Pete Miller's Seafood and Prime Steak in 1994. Clean Plate Club continues to grow beyond its original Evanston roots while remaining a thriving and proud part of the communities it serves. This is a testament to a commitment to each and every customer, our employees and to our concepts.
